George Pope has taught flute at the University of Akron for 30 years and is also on the faculty of the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory. Principal flute of the Akron Symphony from 1978-2002, Mr. Pope has also performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, red (an orchestra), and the Canton Symphony. He is founding member of the Solaris Wind Quintet and the Chamber Music Society of Ohio, and will join the Swannanoa Chamber Players in Asheville, NC, this summer. George Pope's performances have been hailed as "clean, arrestingly vigorous and beautiful," (Fanfare Magazine), and acclaimed for their "eloquent narrative voice" and "magnificent force," (Akron Beacon Journal).

Diane Fiocca, flutist, is currently Associate Professor of Music and Coordinator of Woodwinds at Kent State University. Ms. Fiocca performs in solo and chamber settings at the university and for series such as Music from the Western Reserve, Music from Stan Hywet, Tuesday Musical Club, and Kent/Blossom Music. She served as Principal Flute for the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra and has also performed with the Akron, Canton, Ashland, Erie (PA) and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestras. Before her appointment at Kent, Ms. Fiocca held teaching positions at Kenyon College and Northeast Missouri State University, and later engaged in doctoral study at Indiana University (Bloomington). Ms. Fiocca holds degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and the Capital University Conservatory of Music. Her flute instructors include Katherine Borst Jones, Kyril Magg, Peter Lloyd, Kate Lucas, and Carol Wincenc.

Debra Bordo, mezzo-soprano, has wide ranging experience in vocal music. Trained at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, she has taught vocal music at all public-school levels while enjoying a full performing life.
Ms. Bordo’s musical theater roles include Nellie in South Pacific, the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense, and Eva Peron in Evita, plus a number of Gilbert and Sullivan operettas. Her most recent performance was in the University of Akron’s production of Gianni Schicchi, singing the role of Zita.
As a concert soloist she has performed in a number of different settings, both classical and pops. As a soloist she has performed the music of Bernstein, Ellington, Handel, Mozart, and Vaughan-Williams. Her ensemble repertoire has included works by Mozart, Bernstein, Brahms, Beethoven, and Orff.
Now in her 21st year of teaching, Ms. Bordo is director of choral and general music at U.L. Light Middle School in Barberton, Ohio. She is a first-year graduate student in vocal performance at The University of Akron studying with James Mismas.
Alan Bodman began violin study at age four with his father, Lyman Bodman, Professor Emeritus of Violin and Viola at Michigan State University. He received his B.M. from Michigan State University and his M.M. from the University of Michigan. His major violin studies include work with Ivan Galamian and Dorothy Delay, Paul Makanowitzky and Walter Verdehr. After 13 years on the faculty of Washington State University he returned east to join the faculties of The University of Akron and the Meadowmount School of Music in New York. He has been featured as soloist in several recordings for National Public Television and performs widely as a chamber musician and soloist. Formerly Principal Violist of

the Akron Symphony Orchestra, Mr. Bodman now performs as Concertmaster. In 1988 he and his wife, violinist Amy Barlowe formed the duo [AB]˛ (AB-squared) and have released a CD on the Azica record label. Reviews in the American Record Guide stated, “Their tonal production is flawless, and musically they meet the highest standards.” The Strad magazine attributes Mr. Bodman's playing with the comments "...delectable sound ...silken-toned ...musically introspective."
